Programmes announced for Moot Hall Organ recitals, July-September 2019

The full programme for this summer’s Moot Hall Organ recitals can now be downloaded here. All recitals start at 1pm; admission is free with retiring collection for the Friends of the Moot Hall Organ.

The season starts on Tuesday 16 July with David Pipe (Leeds Cathedral) playing Handel, Whitlock, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Huw Morgan, Liszt and Lefébure-Wély. Next, on 13 August, is Gillian Ward-Russell’s ‘Meteorological Mix’ of weather-themed music by composers including Scheidt, Parry, Messiaen and Chopin. Hon. Borough Organist Ian Ray concludes the series on 10 September with a programme of works by J.S. Bach, Leighton and Liszt.
