Pipework Call for Scores Launches

Colchester Borough Council and Colchester New Music are running PIPEWORKS: a call for scores that invites East Anglian composers to write new works for Colchester’s Moot Hall Organ. The deadline was Monday 23rd March 2015; results will be announced at the end of March 2015. The judges are Alexander Campkin, Soosan Lolavar and Duncan Chapman.

As part of the Colchester Moot Hall Organ Restoration Project, the call invited regional composers to write new, original works for solo organ. No less than 5 pieces will be selected for performance on the newly restored organ following its re-opening celebration events in Summer 2015. One winning piece will also receive a prize of £250, with a second runner up award of £150.
