Moot Hall Organ Recitals January-March 2019

A series of three Lunchtime Recitals on the magnificent Moot Hall Organ; listen to this splendid instrument whilst enjoying the ambiance of Colchester’s elegant Town Hall. Admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of The Friends of the Moot Hall Organ.

1pm, Tuesday 8 January 2019: Andrew Cantrill-Fenwick (Newcastle)

A welcome return of this distinguished organist playing for us to welcome the New Year in. Andrew was until recently the organist at The Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.

1pm, Tuesday 12 February 2019: Ian Ray (Hon Borough Organist)

Playing music by J.S.Bach and Liszt with a nod to St Valentine’s Day, Ian is joined by Amoroso from Mersea Island

1pm, Tuesday 12 March 2019: Gillian Ward-Russell

Famous for her carefully crafted themed programmes Gillian takes us on a meteorological journey including ‘The Storm’ by Lemens and a drop of rain from Chopin on the piano.
